Trap Match
This is the classic trap game for LAFC. With the big rivalry match coming up in five days, a Colorado Rapids team that has been known to take down a giant from time to time, could prove dangerous. The Rapids come into the match having overcome a bit of a rocky period. Winless for four straight, the Rapids turned it around as of late and head into Los Angeles with three wins in a row under their belts. Colorado sit in fourth place in the conference, just six points off the top. They are absolutely a team that can smash and grab a win on the road if LAFC aren’t fully focused. Djordje Mihailovic and Rafael Navarro are the two players LAFC will need to keep tabs on the most, as the team’s leading scorer and leader in assists, respectively.
Another chance at revenge
Last time out, LAFC took the three goals San Jose scored to beat them, doubled it, and dropped six on them in their latest win as they got some cathartic vengeance. The team have another chance to do that tonight. LAFC hold the slight historical advantage over Colorado in this matchup, but it was the Rapids who came out victorious the last time these two faced off, back in late March. As we mentioned previously, this could very well be a trap match for the black & gold if they aren’t focused and what better way to keep that edge than to go into this one looking to do the same thing you did to the Earthquakes, to the incoming Rapids.
