The last month for LAFC has been, to say the least, some of the best football we have seen them play all season. We often talk about teams looking to go int the postseason in the best form possible and right now Los Angeles are looking outright untouchable as the playoffs draw near. After a stop at home last week, they are back on the road this weekend as they take on St. Louis City SC. One of those clubs that has yet to beat LAFC, and currently near the bottom of the table, it’s important not to make this a trap game, and continue to pile on the goals.

While St. Louis haven’t had the best season this year, they have been on a bit of a run as of late. They have lost two of their last five, with a three match unbeaten run going in their last outings, featuring two wins. Granted, those wins came at the expense of fellow bottom-feeding teams, but an unbeaten run is still something that can instill belief and help boost a team into an upset, especially when playing at home. Joao Klauss will be the one to keep tabs on if you’re Los Angeles, with the striker the focal point of their attack. Nine goals and two assists this year, he has been a big key in their recent run of form.
Speaking of recent run of form, there is probably not a better team in the league at the moment, than LAFC. Not only is the club on a three-match winning run but they have lost just two in their last 15 matches. More impressively, the last three wins saw them become the first MLS team ever to have a player net a hat trick in back-to-back-to-back matches, with Bouanga bagging two and Son getting one. All three wins saw them score four goals as their offense has been on an absolute tear as of late. There is a real chance this team sees a fourth-straight match with someone getting a hat trick, but again, its important to go into this one with that killer instinct from kickoff to avoid giving the home side any hopes for a shocking result.
