LAFC are still at home and back in action just days after the 1-1 draw to Sporting KC. The team host San Jose Earthquakes, who handed the black & gold their first loss of the MLS season two weeks ago. Despite that fact, LAFC aren’t coming into this one with revenge on their mind. They will treat this match as they have all others, and with plenty of games in a short amount of time, the squad are focused on long-term success more than short-term vengeance. Still, this is a team that comes into every match wanting the win, and tonight will be no different.

San Jose come into this match the fresher team, not having had a match at the midweek, but that isn’t a concern for Los Angeles who themselves have grown accustomed to playing plenty of football with quick turnarounds. LAFC also have a Head Coach in Steve Cherundolo, who knows the exact adjustments to make to better help his side find success against San Jose this second time around. “We will look to improve in the areas we were not great in, in San Jose” said Cherundolo to media ahead of tonight’s match. “I think there was a few defensive errors, and in the final third not being clean enough and maybe just a little impatient. So those areas we will look to improve.”
