Just months after facing off in one of the most entertaining and thrilling matches in league history during the MLS Cup Finals, LAFC and Philadelphia Union will once again meet centerstage. This time, there won’t be a trophy on the line just yet, but there is something some would view as slightly more important. A spot in the CONCACAF Champions League Finals, and a chance at becoming just the second-ever MLS side to win said competition. For LAFC, it would be their second appearance in a CCL Finals match, and another chance at adding some more trophies to the growing cabinet.

This might be the only chance Union has at getting some payback on LAFC, as they’ve struggled to start the 2023 MLS season. With a record of 3-4-2, they currently sit in seventh place in the Eastern Conference. They are coming into this match having won just two of their last five matches, the most recent being a 4-2 win over Toronto FC this past weekend. For LAFC, they come into this one having won all but one of their last five matches, the latest a 1-1 draw on the road against Nashville SC this past weekend. The black & gold have yet to lose a match in the MLS this season, and their lone loss of the year was a 2-1 defeat in leg two of the CCL Round of 16.
How to Watch
Kickoff is set for 6pm PT with LAFC hitting the road to face off in Philadelphia. The match will be broadcast live on FS1 and TUDN (Spanish).
