As the road trip continues for LAFC, they visit another team that has yet to see a victory against them, in New England Revolution. The East Coast outfit will try to use home field to their advantage, while also playing on Los Angeles’ inconsistent form, to do something they haven’t been able to do since LAFC entered the league, win. Unbeaten run on the line for Los Angeles, but with the regular season closer to the end than the beginning, the team need to start stacking three points to better their position, and build some momentum for the postseason push.

New England come into this match watching their playoff hopes slowly slip from their grasps. They are currently 11th in the Eastern Conference, but sitting eight points form the last playoff spot, and in some pretty horrid form. They have won just one of their last five matches, with three losses and a draw. That lone win came in their last match out, and was the first win since the end of May, so it hasn’t been great for the Revs as of late. The one thing New England do have going for them, is health, with no major injuries or suspensions coming into this match. Attacking Midfielder Carles Gil is their main point of attack, leading the team with nine goals this season. Forwards Tomas Chancalay and Leonarda Campana are others to watch for as they can also find the back of the net consistently.
LAFC come into this match riding a four match unbeaten run that goes back to the Leagues Cup. Granted, three of those four have been draws, but unbeaten nonetheless. That said, this is a team that wants, and needs, to start stacking some wins if they want to better their position and possibly play host come playoff time. This is the second of a three-match road trip, and it’s always tough for a team to go coast-to-coast. After making his debut off the bench last time out, we expect Son to be on the pitch with the Starting XI this time around as LAFC need to get that first goal to try and put the Revs to bed early. We all know Son and Bouanga will be the focal points, but Nathan Ordaz and David Martinez are always lurking around, waiting to put on a show as well. This will be the fourth time these two sides have met, with LAFC taking home two wins and a draw in the previous three outings. They’ve won in shutouts their last two meetings, by a combined scoreline of 6-0. That said, it seems like every time this team has a huge advantage on paper, they go out and play to their competition, so lets just hope they can do enough to make it three wins running over the Revs.
