If you ask most professional athletes, they will tell you the one thing they want most after a tough loss, is to get back out there and make it right. Just a few days after seeing their unbeaten run snapped at home, LAFC have a chance to do just that as they hit the road for some MLS Midweek Madness. They visit Colorado to take on Rapids in a battle of top 10 Western Conference sides, as Rapids look to further cement a spot in the postseason with a result today, while LAFC continue to push to regain the top spot in the conference.

Rapids have won three of their last five matches, winners in their most recent two matches, and come into this match looking to get points off an LAFC side that has scraped a few results in recent weeks. Last time these two met back in April in Los Angeles, it was Colorado that came away with a point in the scoreless draw. Rapids currently sit in eighth place in the West, needing to gather as many points as possible to keep them from the bubble. It’s historically always been tricky for Los Angeles in Colorado, and Rapids will be hoping for more of the same tonight.
After a stretch that saw LAFC remain unbeaten for eight matches, but also scrape by on draws, they were unable to escape the incredibly pesky San Diego FC, who got the late win in LA. Now, the black & gold look to rebound with a win on the road against the equally pesky, Colorado Rapids, especially when they are the ones at home. The big key for Los Angeles will be scoring, shocking we know, but the team has slowly reverted back to earlier in the season when they had a stretch where they couldn’t buy a goal. As it stands the team are firmly in a postseason spot, but as we all know this is a club that is so much better at home, so finishing in a spot where they get home field, is key.
