The long wait between wins has ended for Angel City after their latest performance over expansion side Boston Legacy, that saw them put five past the new club in a convincing win on the road. That win didn’t just snap a winless stretch, but it rekindled the hope for a postseason run as the team remain just outside the bubble, only two points from the final playoff spot. With just a handful of matches left to play, now is the time to build on a performance like that and start stacking wins heading into the crucial part of the season.

Racing Louisville come into this match riding a two-match losing streak, after what had been an impressive win streak they had going. Today, is a must-win for the home side should they hope to remain within touching distance of the playoff race. They are currently eight points off the ninth spot, so while a loss doesn’t mathematically eliminate them, anything short of a full three points at home tonight will all but end their hopes at extending their season. It may have been rough for Racing as of late, but if there is one team they will be happy to see, it’s unfortunately Los Angeles, whose number they have had for the last handful of meetings.
The only time Angel City ever got a win on the road against Racing Louisville? Their first-ever meeting way back in 2022. The last time Angel City got a win over Racing Louisville? July 2024. Despite constantly being one of the worst teams in recent years, Racing seems to always be good enough on the day to get points off Los Angeles, usually, all three. Today, Angel City come into the match fresh off a massive 5-2 thumping of Boston Legacy, that saw the offense look as clinical as it had ever been. The team just need to build on that win today as they wrap up the brief road trip, getting past the usual Racing slip-up. Last match saw forward SveindÃs Jónsdóttir return to the starting lineup, while midfielder Maiara Niehues returned to action off the bench. The team will be missing midfielder Ary Borges today, but are otherwise as healthy as they have been all year. The stars might finally be aligning for a proper playoff push.
How To Watch

The match will be broadcast live and can be streamed on ION. The match can also be heard via iHeartRadio(ENG), as well as KWKW La Primera 1330 AM(SPA).
