Matches are coming thick and fast in the NWSL as the summer break approaches just around the corner. Angel City FC face a quick turnaround after the win over KC Current at the midweek, making the relatively short trip to Texas, taking on Houston Dash. This will be the second meeting between the two sides, with Los Angeles getting the win at home last time they met. After snapping the poor run of form, earning a tough point on the road in Portland followed by a massive win at home over KC Current, the team look to keep it going with a season sweep over the Dash, extending the winning run, and continuing to build some positive momentum.

Houston have won just three matches so far this season. Their last win was over a month ago on April 3rd, having lost four of their last six since then, with two draws. In that same span, Houston have scored just three goals while conceding 12 goals. However, Houston will be at home and looking to change their fortunes. Last time out saw them share points with top side San Diego Wave, so they will be brimming with the confidence that maybe, just maybe, they can turn the corner and get the win over the next SoCal team visiting Houston, in Angel City.
Speaking of, the form hasn’t been much better for Los Angeles. After four losses in a row, the team finally stopped the metaphorical bleeding with a draw on the road with first-placed Portland Thorns before coming home and getting a big win over KC Current. Now, the team look to start a different streak with another win tonight over Dash. The team has been stingy defensively, and if they can get the attack working at even just 15% more efficiency, they will be in great position to complete the season sweep over Houston.
